Wouldn’t you love to know where and what happens to your consciousness while you are sleeping? Another wonderful unknown! Perhaps an undiscovered brute fact?
We had big comfy chairs in beautiful our public library. Then the City decided to allow the homeless to come in and camp out. Now no one goes to the library anymore. Very sad or all.You got hit up by panhandlers coming and going outside the main doors.
I am a major reader – as a child I read a book a day and the books were beyond my grade level. The house I grew up in was filled with books – my dad’s home office was wall to wall bookshelves on the walls – I had my own bookcase as did each of my sisters.
Husband is also reader. Our home office has a wall of bookcases. We also have a bookcase in our bedroom, three in our studio, one in my teddy bears’ room, two in the basement and more books around the house.
Around 5 years ago I switched to about one book a year and most of my reading is magazine/information based. I read current events, history, craft, needlework and similar magazines – get about dozen different ones. My time on earth is limited as I age and I prefer to learn more than read fiction.

I have actually done that, more than once. Man I miss a good independent book store.

Best place to snooze. With old friends and wise and witty masters to watch over you while you navigate through the realms of possibility.

Don’t invite John Milton to our game night; whenever he comes, there’s a pair of dice lost.

Walden is such a good book because of Thoreau editing.

Readers never have any extra time because they’re booked.

My red recliner is very cozy. I frequently fall asleep in it.

You need either better boos or a more spindly chair.

Can’t beat the sound and feel of a good hardcover book page being turned.

Let’s see Rose get out of the World’s Most Comfortable Chair; only The Tick could resist.

My college library had a very quiet study room with very comfortable chairs and couches. It was almost impossible to stay awake in there.
