That doesn’t make any sense. Just because a cat has 9 lives doesn’t make them 9 distinct individuals. And even if it did, only one of them would be granted the 3 wishes, not all 9 of them.
One time I had 28 wishes.

So that’s one robot can opener, 9 life times supply of cat food, a dozen small heated, weather proof boxes spread across your territory …
But you have to die 8 times to get them all !!!
I would only need one.
Maybe the kitty rubbed his/her face on the ‘bottle’? My kitty (Ricky) would just knock it off the mantle!
